Restart online posting for self expression and sharing

I set up the personal website, but from my own tracking, I have a really long time to stop writing it as a way for expression. Instead, I write more often in both digital journals and handwritten journals. Personal website for me is a window to the outer world, a channel for expression, so I think I may need to change the way I handle it, and write more frequently instead.

I am thinking of consolidating all the rest of social media over here, since it all my own writing and thought matters, why post somewhere else, they should go into their own website. Since now I am traveling, let’s start from what I encounter each day on the trip, that is easy to kick off and get myself back to the routine to use it for that matter. For the photo, just pick and resize into 72 pixels to preserve the online storage.

Not sure how long I can keep it this way, but I will try. Technology keeps changing, but human nature went to write for self and for record, for journal, for share I believe the same.

In the blink of an eye, I have tried various web technologies along the years, from the simple html hosted at some web hosting companies, where most of them fall. Then I write on blogger and wordpress, again stop after a while. Then I tried to set up a personal website with wordpress platform, which has gone through a few rounds of hosting disaster and the current is the one I use the longest time to be. No perfect for any subject, because it can not be, so better to make it for any subject matters instead.

More and more web technologies is offering content hosting in their platform, I always worry about that, since your digital life data is with them, this is why I always think it make sense for use own domain name even not for business, to make sure all the URL link is pointing to the right source of the content I made, the rest of social media the most just a link over basis. In this way, I can get full content for my content. If one day, the respective hosting companies change their hosting policies, I am free to keep it, since it is under my own domain and name.

To be or not to be, digital writing is not really that difficult. What I need to do is to decide on from now on, what platform and content to consolidate, so it all comes from one source, save the lifetime hassle for change or move from here to there.

I believe regardless for the content and what language I use it, the more important thing is I keep writing and posting and make it my own habit. Since it is now really for commercials, I have more freedom to decide what topic to write based on personal mood and the topic I am interested in writing and posting.
